Below you will find a link to the Channing Eagles and Lady Eagles 2016-2017 Varsity basketball schedule. There could still be a couple of additions as we have a couple of open dates that the coaches are trying to fill.
Wednesday, August 24th, 2016 was the first day of school for Channing ISD for the 16-17 school year. What a start! I believe it is a record for Channing School to start with 195 students enrolled in all grades this year! We are excited! We have several new faces amongst the students and some new faces on the staff as well.
The largest class in the school is twenty students in the second grade! This has been a large class for us ever since they started. We are glad they are ALL here.
There will be a little shuffling over the next few days as we get everyone situated on bus routes, knowing where the classes are, etc. So please bear with us.
I know that some of our teachers have started Facebook groups for their classes that only parents who have been invited are allowed to see what is posted. So, you may be getting requests from some of our teachers about needing your Facebook contact info to invite you to your child's class.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact us. We all want to do what is best for kids and it works so much better when we are all on the same page!
General pictures will be showing up on the school's Facebook later today!!

The link below will take you to the PK-5th grade supply list.
Grades 6th-12th will need the basic supplies of a notebook, paper, pencils, pens, and red pen. The first day their individual teachers will tell them some other items they would like for them to have and then the students will be given the week to come up with those.
The board has adopted the 2016-2017 calendar and it will be similar to the 2015-2016 calendar. Students will be attending school for 172 days, but have the opportunity to again miss the last week of school IF they miss seven or less days, passing all classes and state mandated tests.
