This is a friendly reminder that we will be hosting a home basketball game at Channing tomorrow, Friday, November 15th. The schedule is as follows:
- Varsity Girls: 4:30 PM
- Varsity Boys: 5:30 PM
We encourage everyone to come out and support our Channing Eagles and Lady Eagles!
This is just a reminder that tomorrow is our elementary and junior high UIL tournament at school. Our elementary students will be able to ride the bus home at their regularly scheduled time. Some junior high students may be late if they make the finals for oral reading or impromptu. Your student will be in contact with you to let you know if they make finals or not.
The school board meeting scheduled for this evening at 7 PM has been rescheduled to Thursday, Nov. 14th at 7PM in the library.
PK-6th grade parents,
If possible, please have your student wear something red, white, or blue on Monday for our Veterans Day program. It will begin at 10:15 am with our community Thanksgiving meal to follow.
Reminder: Picture Day is tomorrow and ALL students will be taking photos even if you don't order any. Students need to dress nicely and hats are not allowed as these will go in the yearbook. We will do different photos in the spring and hats will be allowed then.
Junior High Parents:
With the forecast calling for wet, cold weather on Thursday, we will NOT be going to Palo Duro Canyon. This trip will be rescheduled for sometime in the Spring.

11/7--JH Field Trip (will return around 2:30); Perfect Attendance Popcorn Parties; 2nd Six Weeks Awards Ceremony 3:30. *Students will be notified if they are getting awards for Honor Roll or Perfect Attendance, and parents are welcome to attend.
Please RSVP if you would like to join us for our Veteran's Day program and Thanksgiving meal of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade rolls, cobbler, and more. Your student will bring a copy of this flier home, so fill it out and send it back if you will be attending.

Dumas ISD has invited our parents and community to attend a Community Night tomorrow at 6:30 PM in the DHS Auditorium. They will be presenting information on illicit drugs and synthetic substances (fentanyl, synthetic marijuana, vaping and flakka).
Meal tickets for the fall festival dinner CAN be purchased at the door tonight for $10 each. Dinner is from 6-7 pm.
Our culinary students helped decorate cakes today for the cake walk tomorrow. You will have to purchase tickets for the cake walk in addition to the carnival bands. We hope to see you tomorrow evening.
