The Dumas bus will be late today. It is broken down at Hwy 354 and 2202. We are sending another bus out there now.
PK Round-Up for 2025-2026 will be Thursday, April 24th.

Family Art Night was a success! Thank you to everyone that participated in this fun event! More pictures to follow!
One Act Play dinner and show fundraiser--Monday, March 31st at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
Channing School will be hosting a volleyball tournament on April 12th to raise money for our uniforms and supplies. Teams can consists of 8 to 10 players. There is a $150 entry fee for each team. It will be a single elimination tournament. For more information, please see the attached flyer or contact Coach Lovett at brooke.lovett@channingisd.net
Reminders--tomorrow is Spring picture day for anyone wanting to have pictures taken. Tomorrow night is Family Art Night from 5:30-7:00 in the cafeteria. Come paint a ceiling tile to have hung in the school. There is no charge, but donations will be accepted to help cover the cost of the paint.
On Thursday, all juniors will be taking the ACT test at school.
Reminder--Spring Pictures are Tuesday, March 18th!
Thank you to Domingo Alvarado, WyoTech Assistant Regional Director of Admissions, for visiting our campus this afternoon. He spoke to the 8th-12th grade students about post-secondary opportunities that WyoTech offers, including welding, diesel and automotive technology. Eagles are starting now to be future ready!

Channing School will be hosting our first Family Art Night on Tuesday, March 18th from 5:30 - 7 PM in the cafeteria. There is no cost to participate. We would love for you to come paint a ceiling tile to hang in our school. One tile per family. The community is invited to participate in this event as well. Donations will be accepted to help cover the costs of supplies. Please RSVP to Mollie Dahl via email to mollie.dahl@channingisd.net so that we have an estimated count for supplies. We are looking for parents or grandparents who would be interested in reading a children's book to our elementary for Dr. Seuss's birthday. Please let me know if you are interested and would like to join us in celebrating reading!

Celebrating the 100th Day of School in Style! Students got to participate in various activities centered around the number 100, including a very special treasure hunt for 100 mini ducks hidden around the building.
In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday March 2nd, next week is Dr. Seuss Week. Please see attached for dress up days and events to celebrate reading March 3-March 6.
