Channing School will be hosting our first Family Art Night on Tuesday, March 18th from 5:30 - 7 PM in the cafeteria. There is no cost to participate. We would love for you to come paint a ceiling tile to hang in our school. One tile per family. The community is invited to participate in this event as well. Donations will be accepted to help cover the costs of supplies. Please RSVP to Mollie Dahl via email to mollie.dahl@channingisd.net so that we have an estimated count for supplies. We hope to see you at Family Art Night!

Celebrating the 100th Day of School in Style! Students got to participate in various activities centered around the number 100, including a very special treasure hunt for 100 mini ducks hidden around the building.
In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday March 2nd, next week is Dr. Seuss Week. Please see attached for dress up days and events to celebrate reading March 3-March 6.
Come explore the Book Fair! Tonight is Family Night. The Book Fair will be open from 4 PM to 6 PM in the Channing School Library. This event is open to the community!

Channing Juniors & Seniors recently had the opportunity to attend Region 16's EPIC High School College and Career Fair at the Amarillo Civic Center. Students attended Post-Secondary Planning Workshops, visited Vendor Booths, and heard from a keynote speaker about working toward success in their future goals! It was truly an EPIC experience! Thank you to @Region16 Service Center for hosting this event! 🎓
Our FFA is hosting a Pancake Dinner tonight from 5:30-7. Tickets are $7 in advance or $8 at the door. They will also have a basket reffle and chicken bingo. Come out and support our FFA!

In celebration of National FFA Week, Monday's theme was "Country vs. Country Club." Winners were Millie Williams, Eva Posey, and Shayleigh Rainwater.
Reminder: We will hold our awards ceremony tomorrow for the 4th Six Weeks and Perfect Attendance students will also have popcorn as well. Parents are welcome to attend at 3:25 pm.

Parents, we need your help! I am posting pictures of the destruction of our Dumas bus seats and the excessive trash being left on the bus. Students are NOT allowed to eat or drink on the bus. Starting today we will be issuing assigned seating on the Dumas bus. The cost to repair each seat is approximately $1,200. Students also MUST wear their seat belts when riding the bus. Remember, riding the bus is a courtesy and privilege. If students are caught destroying the bus they will lose their bus riding privileges and parents will be charged for the repairs. We want students to take Pride in our school and respect school property. Thank you for your help in this matter.
