Congratulations to the No Names High School Team for taking 1st place today at the inaugural volleyball tournament. The Admin Team took 2nd. It was a fun day! Thank you to everyone that participated and to those that cheered from the stand. I have over 140 pictures to go through and post, so be watching for more pictures soon. The Channing Volleyball Tournament is tomorrow. We will start at 8AM. Preliminary start times: 8:00, 8:45, and 9:30. Bracket play. We will have concessions. We will have breakfast burritos and donuts for the morning and burger meals for lunch! We will play the first set of games, then break for 10 to 15 minutes and start the second set of games, etc. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Ruby R made our Board meal tonight. She made shrimp pasta and tiramisu for dessert. The food was delicious. Thank you Mrs. Nelson for overseeing this. Ruby is a natural, and is destined for great things.
We are extremely proud of our UIL Academic Regional Qualifiers. We will be selling T-Shirts to help off-set the costs of a nice dinner for our students during their UIL Regional contest in Levelland. May 5th-8th is Teacher Appreciation Week. Our theme this year is, Saying "Mahalo" For All You Do. Each day will feature Hawaiian themed snacks or goodies for our 30 staff members. If you would like to help with this, please contact Gina Chambers at 806-235-3719 or gina.chambers@channingisd.net.

The board meeting scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled to Thursday at 7 PM in the library.
West Texas A&M University will have their admissions counselors and advisors at the Rahll Campus of Frank Phillips in Dalhart on Wed., April 23, beginning at 5PM. This will be an informational and hands- on meeting for students interested in attending WT, and for students that have already been accepted to WT. They will help students complete applications and forms, and provide valuable feedback to students and parents. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Reminder--students are NOT allowed to have energy drinks at school or at school events. Thank you.

WAY TO GO!!
Reminder--students bringing medicine to school must bring it to the office with their name on it and have a medication form signed by a parent or guardian stating how much they are allowed to have. Students are not allowed to keep medicine on them, and they are not allowed to give medicine to other students. If you need a medication form, please call the office tomorrow or have your student come by to pick one up.
The junior high district track meet this week at Boys Ranch has been moved to THURSDAY because of the weather forecast for Friday.
The high school meet at Vega is still on Wednesday.
The deadline to register your team for the volleyball tournament is tomorrow, April 1st. Email Brook Lovett at brooke.lovett@channingisd.net to sign up your team. Please send entry fee to Channing Athletics, PO box 9, Channing, Tx 79018, or bring by the front office by Friday, April 4th. We will have open gym from 4-6 PM starting Monday, April 7th - Thursday, April 10th, and from 1PM - 5PM on Friday, April 11th. Entry fee must be paid prior to practicing. We hope you will come out and support Channing Volleyball! Concessions will be available on the day of the tournament.
