We will have packets available tomorrow for students interested in ordering a letter jacket or patches. The representative will be here Thursday morning to measure students for jackets. All order forms and money will be due at that time.
We will hold a graduation walk with caps and gowns on Thursday, May 22nd at 8:00 am with our senior and kindergarten graduates together, and then we will take a photo in front of the school with the eagle. Parents are welcome to attend. School will dismiss at 12:30 pm that day.

Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday, May 18th at 6:00 pm in the auditorium.
Prom is tomorrow evening. Pictures will start at 4:00 pm in the cafeteria. The limo will leave from the school at 5:30 and return to school around 12:30.
Mrs. Chambers and Dr. Heiskell served our staff some "mocktails" this morning to wrap up our teacher appreciation week! We are grateful for all our staff and their dedication to Channing ISD!

Today we treated our staff to ice cream sundaes and fun shades for "FUN in the SUNdae" as part of Teacher Appreciation Week!
Joe McDougal talked to our 5th graders today about the Gideons and provided New Testaments to the students that wanted one.
Invoices are going out in the mail to students who have damaged their Chromebooks or who have missing items. Invoices are due upon receipt and will have to be paid in order for your student to receive their final report card and in the case of transfer students, transfer requests will not be accepted until these are paid.
Tryouts for cheer will be next week!
Signed permission slips are due to Ms. Lusk tomorrow in order to try out.
The 4th and 5th grade trip to Palo Duro Canyon has been rescheduled for May 21st. They will be joining the junior high that day. Please reach out to your child's teacher for questions.
Yearbooks have arrived and we will begin handing them out today.

Updated events for this week--
-We are moving the FFA Open House to this THURSDAY from 5:30-7:30 pm. We have lots of standing water near the shop today and so Thursday should be better.
--We are still having our 8th grade parent meeting today at 4:30 pm
--Palo Duro Canyon State Park is going to be closed this week due to all the rain, so we are going to make new plans for our 4th and 5th graders and will keep you posted on what we come up with.
--We do have our College/Career Fair on Thursday for 6th-12th grade students from 2:00-4:00 pm.
--Prom is this Saturday at The Amarillo Club
