Parents--Tomorrow, I will be notifying students who are on the list for Perfect Attendance for this semester so far. I will be taking students to Cynergy next Wednesday if they are still on that list as of that time. I will be calling students down tomorrow, then also giving them a note with details to bring home to you. Thank you for all you do in encouraging your student(s) to be at school. Channing ISD recently hosted a CCMR Fair for our secondary students in grades 6-12. We had representatives from colleges, the military, law enforcement, plumbing, electrical, information technology, agriculture, and health & human services. This was a wonderful opportunity for college, career, and military post-secondary exposure. Thank you to everyone who came to visit and share resources and knowledge with our students! We will have packets available tomorrow for students interested in ordering a letter jacket or patches. The representative will be here Thursday morning to measure students for jackets. All order forms and money will be due at that time.
We will hold a graduation walk with caps and gowns on Thursday, May 22nd at 8:00 am with our senior and kindergarten graduates together, and then we will take a photo in front of the school with the eagle. Parents are welcome to attend. School will dismiss at 12:30 pm that day.

Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday, May 18th at 6:00 pm in the auditorium.
Prom is tomorrow evening. Pictures will start at 4:00 pm in the cafeteria. The limo will leave from the school at 5:30 and return to school around 12:30.
Mrs. Chambers and Dr. Heiskell served our staff some "mocktails" this morning to wrap up our teacher appreciation week! We are grateful for all our staff and their dedication to Channing ISD!

Today we treated our staff to ice cream sundaes and fun shades for "FUN in the SUNdae" as part of Teacher Appreciation Week!
Joe McDougal talked to our 5th graders today about the Gideons and provided New Testaments to the students that wanted one.
Invoices are going out in the mail to students who have damaged their Chromebooks or who have missing items. Invoices are due upon receipt and will have to be paid in order for your student to receive their final report card and in the case of transfer students, transfer requests will not be accepted until these are paid.
Tryouts for cheer will be next week!
Signed permission slips are due to Ms. Lusk tomorrow in order to try out.
